If you are interested in news trading then you probably know already that there aren’t many concise guides out there that teaches you everything abotu news trading from start to finish. Henry Liu decided to address that problem with his News Profiteer e-book. The 128 page News Profiteer guide has since become quite popular among traders and most customers agree that this e-book is a must have for anyone interested in news trading.
In the first few chapters of the News Profiteer manual Henry teaches you why and when the forex markets move and how fundamental news impact the currecy pairs. He then goes more in depth into the specifc news events that are tradable, the mechanics of news trading and the basics of 3 different news trading strategies. He also covers money management and then goes more in-depth into specific trading strategies and how to develop an effective trading plan.
My Thoughts on the News Profiteer System
Firstly, I have to agree that that the News Profiteer guide is a must have for anyone interested in fundamental news trading – it’s definitely the most detailed, accurate guide you will find on the topic. The problem I have with this system is that news trading in general can be a lot more difficult than it may seem.
Trading the spikes created by news events can be very effective, but getting your orders filled with brokers is a major problem if you don’t have a very high speed connection to the broker and traders from some countries will find it impossible to get their orders filled. Trading the retracements after the spike is another option, but I just didn’t have a good success rate with this approach and eventually gave up on it. The 3rd method he teaches (market sentiment) requires a lot of research and discretion and its definitely the most difficult of the 3 to master.
